"How do I get more referrals?"

The number of referrals you receive is related to:

* How well you articulate who you help and how you help them.
* How many people know what you do.
* How many people know you are looking for new clients.

There are three great ways to get more referrals.

* Build relationships with other professionals who service your target market. Lets say your ideal clients are middle-school children. Why not meet with the school nurse or the PTSA president?
* Ask your existing network. Let your colleagues know the passion you have for working with middle-school children. Tell them some success stories. Let them know you have a "few openings" in your practice if they know someone who could use your help.
* Let your clients know. "You may not know this, but I also love working with middle-school children and their families. If you know anyone like that who could use some support, I'd be honored to have you give them my name."

Once again, when you let people know what you do, you are doing them a favor. Everyone loves to give a great referral.
